The Bill (Reg. No. 1381) introduces amendments to the current legislation regarding reorganization of tax militia subdivisions of the State Tax Administration of Ukraine and delegation of its functions to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The People´s Deputy, H.Moskal, the author of the Bill, states in the explanatory note that "the Bill was elaborated in order to regulate the activity of bodies in charge of fighting economic crimes". Elimination of distribution of functions in the field of State economic security protection will "enable the single body in charge of fighting economic crimes to detect, investigate, and prevent such Laws more effectively".
The most illegal actions in the field of taxation are performed with "the use of well-considered schemes that can be exposed only by means of comprehensive investigation and search operations conducted on the grounds of analysis of tax service information resources". The Committee believes that "the tax militia has the said possibility which will be lost, in case the functions are delegated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine". The said reorganization will also result in additional State budget expenditures.
